Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT)

CFT is often described as the missing piece for many people and their health journey, so we felt the need to add this therapy in to our clinic and are excited to offer it to those of all ages!

  • What is CFT?

Craniosacral Fascial Therapy is a gentle, handos-on therapy that blends two approaches:

    - Craniosacral therapy - focuses on the flow of cerebrospinal fluid around the brain and spinal cord, assessing subtle rhythms in the cranial bones and sacrum

    - Fasical release - addresses restrictions in the fascia (the connective tissue web surrounding muscles, organs, and structures throughout the body)

By combining these two , CFT aims to release tightness and strain in both the craniosacral system and fascia, supporting the body’s ability to self-correct and heal.

  • How it works..

    - The practitioner uses very light touch to assess restrictions or imbalances

    - gentle techniques are applied to unwind fascial tension and improve fluid flow in the craniosacral system

    - this can help restore motion, balance, and relaxation throughout the body

  • What it's used for..

    CFT is often used for:

    - Babies with birth trauma, colic, tongue/lip ties, feeding or sleep issues

    - Children with developmental delays, sensory challenges, or behavioral issues

    - Adults with headaches, TMJ, chronic pain, concussion recovery, or stress

  • Benefits Reported..

    - increased relaxation and calm

    - Improved sleep and digestion

    - Decreased pain and tension

    - Better mobility, balance, and neurological function

CFT is an excellent adjunct therapy to tongue and lip tie releases (both before and after the release), orthodontia work, and myofunctional therapy.

Craniosacral Fascial System Model

Fascia can pull and distort structures globally within the body including the craniosacral system
